I posted a couple of times ....
highlighting the "old type" S-curves for the early LNG developers in Oz (think WPL)....
the "newer" LNG plays (basically QLD / pluto et al) are more "straight line linkage - with slopes around 0.8 (+/-) .......I posted a reasonable article froom JPM / UBS which went throu the various pricing mechanisms ......
as im sure most are aware - its not possible to "perfectly hedge" LNG ......b/c the rev's are contract specific (Platt's has tried to come up with a market tradeable product) .......for STO - its "hedging" is related to its liquids production .....
as Oz-wolverine points out - tis why STO got into trouble .......
has anyone elese noticed the "trading patterns" in both sunny STO, and sunny ORG over the last couple of months ?????
