With high risk comes high reward looking back at the half year results for 2016,  it looks like they are above forecast around 12USD per barrel and the net debt will reduce month on month

    PAGE 2
We set the ambitious challenge of making the business free cash flow breakeven on a portfolio basis at an oil price of US35 to US40 per barrel. I'm proud to say that everyone at Santos is embracing this challenge, adopting a low-cost mindset to drive down costs safely and sustainably.

So, to be clear, if the oil price continues to average above our breakeven price of US43.50 a barrel, we expect to be reducing debt, or net debt, month on month. Of course, debt reduction remains our focus, with net debt down by over US200 million in the half to now sit at US4.5 billion.

Also a bonus for LNG - signs are showing slowly

ASIAN SPOT LNG market is showing signs of tightening

GLOBAL LNG – Asian spot prices edge up on slightly tighter market

    • LNG market tightens as units enter post-winter maintenance
    • Overall production glut to remain in place - analysts
    • Facing buyer pressure, producers allow more flexibility
    • LNG spot trading set to grow as market gradually opens up
it also looks like with a little more patience management will be rewarded for their beliefs that the LNG market will tighten and grown in demand

    These are just my opinions

I also bought WPL and ORG today

    good luck all
