Most times in life, the simplest explanation is the correct one (especially as opposed to conspiracy theories). Two simple explanations:
1. Anyone who bought in the 8's & low 9's is sitting on a 50% profit now so no doubt there is some profit-taking.
2. Market waiting for company to demonstrate its costs are under control
