I deeply disagree ( naturally enough) with the inference that this forum’s (sector comparatively) more visible community of posters affects its ASX value...especially after reading that stuff about HFT and dark pool .
That link I posted claims in 2016 HFT ’has matured in the equity markets at 27% but is growing rapidly in the Futures markets. Up 130% since 2013.” .
...which indicates it likely now represents at least 50% of equity volume and there would also be increase in dark pool volume (in 2016 around 25 to 30% of daily equity volume .( link again https://marcustoday.com.au/webpages/832_education.php?guid=1b1264ec43695d6138d6887bf6bb4a1a&id=29881)
Which -in relation to NRW -would fit in with my gut feel we are probably currently seeing a minimum of 80% of equity volume going through as HFT or dark pool.

Ergo even all the talk of all the retail investors - even at full volume will have zilch effect...

Anyway I do remember there were around three months from December 2015 to February 2016 where if you had the nerve and funds you could have maybe picked up two million shares for $140 grand - average 7c each.....
And I am sure a lot of institutions bought back in the long trading months after that at 26c and under ( until mid July 2016 ) but so did a lot of keeperers.

It would be interesting to see how substantial holders changed between 2015 and 2016 and then see how many remained in 2017...
