yes, good news.
Geez - package to cost $30m
the federal pollies spend more on that for lunch!
why does it take so long to get a consensus on such an industry changing event, when the hold-up is a mere $30m ??
Politics I guess.
I reckon once the relevant legislation is passed by the Senate, that there will be all sorts of manouvering and speculation.
I have no idea what PRT will do, but I have a 100% conviction that PRT will not remain as is.
It will a target or a predator/merger partner.
I just think that PRT simply cannot remain where it is. For all the obvious reasons.
I do believe that Free TV still has a market, and it will remain a cash flow positive business.
I think PRT appointed the Chairman John Hartigan way back, for this very eventuality. Equally the likes of Mike Hill and Cass OConnor are M&A type people.
The fact that PRT has focussed on debt reduction provides PRT with the capacity to raise funds for an acquisition, or makes it very attractive as a target.
IMHO PRT will be in the thick of the action.
I have held a significant parcel for years, awaiting this outcome. But good grief, bloody politicians.
cheers
