Having read the Aust release, now mildly surprised we didn't get a stronger a positive move on this news. Low volume, and long weekend coming up, so perhaps traders a bit distracted.
My opinion: This re-affirms interest from JSW in JK (which was in question based on recent media) and the signing of NDA means JSW are serious about understanding the potential of both mines. Effectively they need to do DD which takes time and there is a need to minimise leaks over this period. Also, if they are to make a bid they need to do their own valuation work - this take time and require information that is probably not public yet.
We may well get news prior to 6 months. I think this will depend on the quality of information that PDZ has, and the confidence JSW has in that prior work. Obvs a little less required for Deb given the location.
Overall positive news. BUT - I am a little concerned about progress on JK BFS. Recent press does not inspire confidence, and the clock is ticking.
