As CCE has a long standing MOU in place with a vanadium redox flow battery manufacturer and a vanadium miner, you would think by now they would have well developed plans for microgrids that include VRFB.
CCE's credentials as a multi technology microgrid company, would be greatly enhanced if they put forward a proposal for at least one SPS that is built around VRFB for the Western Power trial.
It would be logical to assume that Sumitomo Electric would be their preferred choice to supply the VRFB system because of this MOU.
They might however be tempted to work with either VSUN or POW, who also have a VRFB product?
This should be supported by the Minister because both companies are headquartered in WA and is in keeping with his statement about WA companies pairing for projects.
