Well i maintain they would have already moved on Peel if they were ever going to do so. They have so many geologists & technical people at their disposal. They would already have a great idea of what Peel has as far as a resource number is concerned for S.N / Wagga Tank. It would make zero sense for them to just keep on biding their time whilst the target keeps on getting more expensive.
The gold credits for Peel's projects Sarg, are tiny to a company like St Barbara. It has over 10m oz's in mineral reserves. Annual production in excess of 400,000 oz's. All of their exploration is concentrated on gold.
Of the 4 explorers they hold strategic stakes in Catalyst Metals, Duketon Mining, Peel Mining & Prodigy Gold, all but Peel are focused on gold exploration.
The projects they are assessing in North America are also all gold miners.
If they are looking to diversify out of gold then they are doing a bloody good job of not doing so.
