Yes I also do not believe that we just simply lost the shootout - that would be too simple and there would have been an announcement by now. Keeping in mind that D&C would not need to show details - just make a counter offer by now and pay the money a little later.
It's more than that. My money is on a dirty fan. It's either now sorting through (Strike) their legal options with their lawyers and/or negotiating with D&C for a mutually happy outcome without a protracted courtcase.
