In a word, "Opportunity"!
Check the news, things are stirring in Thailand, they have a very good score on the investors risk index too.
Sprott invested (~10%) in MTR very aware of the investment in Thailand and their DD gives me confidence to invest in both MOD and MTR they specifically intend to get a return from the JV.

No dramas either, Thailand was never sold to investors as a quick/easy investment but one that was unloved, picked up for a song and with #massive potential.
MTR have simply intelligently adapted to the changing landscape in the same cool collected fashion that the JV dealt with the EMP. The King dying and a potential change in mining policy made for a sensible decision to delay there but it does not change the asset. In fact have you seen the recent moment in Zinc?

If you doubt Sprott's DD, feel free to offer suggestions on how you would improve it.
In my book it endorses both MOD and the JV and adds to my confidence.
