I think you are right, I rang SPQ today and they said because it takes two days settlement time for most brokers you will need to buy or be holding shares on Thursday the 25th, Monday is too late to qualify as tuesday is the record date and Friday the 26th is closed on the asx.
if you brought on Monday the shares would be settled in your account on Wednesday missing the record date. SO ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT
