Are we correct in observing that shortly after an SPP has taken place, the share price invariably falls below the SPP price, thus negating the benefits of the SPP?
We recall that this has happened with several of Geoff Wilson's SPPs. We remember kicking ourselves for not restraining ourselves from buying into some SPPs, but waiting patiently and buying at the lower price after the SPP has come and gone.
Can anyone say whether they have observed this phenomena, please? Particularly so, because one will have to make a decision on whether to participate in the current Cadence SPP.
(If there are any pseudonomical Cadence fund managers reading this post, perhaps they could comment.)
In any case, we shall henceforth be documenting these matters with several LIC s that we own, to see if there is a trend.
