Well Duterte has asked Gina Lopez to head up the DENR. That is mining in the Philippines gone for the next 6 years if she accepts. Operating projects may creep along but nothing new will be approved; it will actually be a step back from the previous administration ... if that is possible.
She is a prominent anti-mining advocate who shoots from the hip with little reference to actual facts.
