Here we are near end June and this maybe was no spike - I expected prices to retreat under $50 again - so far no sign of that. Remember Sth Aust closed their Port Augusta coal fired gens on 9 May. So SA supply will have been tighter after that.
Does anybody know why the three big States prices are so high?
