Wolverine - I think the dividend traders are good for the shareholders. Not for long term Australian resident shareholders like yourself but they provide liquidity for non resident shareholders (who are arguably disadvantaged by the Australian Tax system) to sell their stock.
If they believe in the company I am sure many non resident holders will buy back in again post dividend..
