I usually try to point out that I'm not bashing Jews in general.

The problem we have is that the country of Israel strongly identifies with a particularly religion so any disagreement with Israeli policy is seen as an attack on that religion. I don't see that as my problem. It's Israel's problem and (IMO) I don't see it going away any time soon. The only way Israel can "fix" the problem is to control world opinion which it's attempting to do right now. Will it work or will the world fight back and through what process. That's the question I find intriguing.

Living in Australia I don't have the luxury of shutting down discussion by simply calling someone who disagrees with our government policy an anti-something. I don't get to call out someone else on the basis of hate speech.

Anyway, I think it's fair to post alternative views from well thought out articles so it's up to HotCopper to decide if I'm infringing on their TOU.
