Have always been skeptical of this company, I don't dispute the potential market size or even the quality of the product. Where i lack faith is the need for this product, as a kid i had asthma and the only diagnosing tool that was used was small tube of molded plastic which was calibrated to show my peak exhale volume, therefore if my peak exhale capacity was below what it should be it could then the deducted my airway was restricted and if this was happening frequently or after particular events or places it could be interpreted as asthma.
This molded plastic (I forget it's name) wouldn't have costed more than $50. So where is the business case for clinics or hospitals to spend much more than that in a world of limited capital?
I concede that in some cases this it not a practical means to diagnose ie in infants and it is sometimes best to use a complicated hi tech tool so at least the parents perceive the best care is being given. I just hope they are pursuing a marketing strategy congruent to their strengths rather than expecting sales because they have built a better mouse trap.
I hope I'm wrong as I indirectly hold some.
