No - I do not think it is a "dead cat bounce", rather as I stated the rebound is merely a return of the price.
Over the years I have posted on several stocks where PPT have decided to quit their holdings, the short term impact on the stock price and a trading strategy to adopt in response to same.
In essence: (a)When PPT decide to quit a stock they will issue an "at best" sell order, regardless of final price. (b)When you detect such a stock, check PPT's holding and watch the substantial holder change announcements as they "fire-sale" their holding (c) when it is reasonably apparent PPT are out of the market then buy the stock.
Not a guaranteed strategy, but it will work 90% of the time with a short term gain of 25%+.
Again, pity the poor sods that trust their hard earned super to PPT!!
