Actually, it's not that I feel EOS is a bad bet - it's that in the context of my portfolio it's a bet I wouldn't be comfortable taking. The market is offering us many opportunities right now with less "upside risk", but far more known knowns, and far fewer unknowns... At these prices, EOS is a bet that I'm not willing to make. In the context of a larger portfolio with some cash to punt, it could make a lot more sense. In my circumstances at these prices it simply doesn't.
I must say it's touching that you're all so concerned that I'm going to miss out on this one. But if someone told you they had 4 of the 6 numbers coming up in this week's lotto, what proportion of your life savings would you use to buy tickets?
I still believe that there is a very good chance that EOS will in the medium term become range bound around $2.50 in the medium term. If that comes to pass, then it would make sense to buy. If those orders are announced then there will be many more known-knowns which would change the calculus.
At these prices there isn't a risk premium that I am comfortable with - I'm not sure I know why that upsets you so much...
