Good luck to you. If you don't understand what you are buying or why you are buying, you should not be buying. Take you time learning first and only plce very small amounts until you are comfortable with what you are doing. Taking blind advice from broker is not a shortcut, its one way road to losing money. I imagine you are 'investing' cause markets have been rising and your friends are making money too. But markets fall too and when that happens novice investors who dont know why they are investing in the first place get trashed. You are clearly naive about the role of brokers and thats fine but be skeptical. Think about what motivates them and ask yourself.. for the few bucks you are paying in brokerage, what quality advice can you reallly expect? Pay peanuts get... As I said, there is no shortcut in markets. Learn or die. Cheers
