OK. But as a 'novice', when one pays broker's fees, surely one should be able to rely, at least to some extent, on their advice. How does one do 'homework' when one doesn't know what to look for, or assess? DYOR applies to longer-term 'players'... not to those new to the 'game'. I'll play YOU off a break on literacy but, re shares, I've got a lot of learning to do.
