Carlos Santana was already living in the San Francisco area and I was surfing the left at the rock at 38 & 1/2 K while stopping at the Pan to buy firecrackers and fresh bread heading home. Sometimes making the trip to Caliente to bet on the greyhounds. Never had time to watch my back for I always carried my wallet in the front pockets and while even that was not safe. Once in a while I went thru Tecate to only drive home via Molycorp to see the desert flea infected white tail jacks. That's how I first learned about rare earth and Lynas.
(38 K is where Titanic just some years ago was filmed staring the kid Leo)
