S2R relinquished control of the Polar Bear region and lost an advantage it once had. If S2R decides to put money back into Australia, it will battle other aspiring explorationists to get "good" ground to explore.
The decisions by S2R are almost irreversible, so you will just have to hang on and see where this current strategy takes you. There are some nice hotels in Nevada and Finland.
