The upgraded sulphide circuit has a new leach circuit which should increase recoveries to the targeted 85% level once fed with 100% UG ore and once the low carbon roaster is built recoveries are forecast to improve further towards 90%.
I don't know what metallurgical studies these targets are based on but I suspect that you wouldn't spend this much money developing this mine and upgrading the sulphide circuit without strong evidence from bench top or pilot plants. The expected long term high margins at Syama are really at the mercy of the metallurgists that have given this project the green light.Esh
