Nothing fishy. Note that "The Ravenswood gold mine is approximately 95km south-west of Townsville and 65km east of Charters Towers in north-east Queensland." and that the weather has been rather severe there of late:

and you can understand how RSG's operations there took a hit. No mystery at all. Also, all the more reason for moving to higher levels of automation and lessening the risk to workers.
