I don't see the benefit of supporting the stock. A lower SP is of no importance to a long term substantial holder, only fundementals matter to such a holder.
A lower SP would even be a benefit if they were able and willing to top up further.
Supporting or manipulating has only a short term effect anyway - in time true value wiill show itself.
