I sold some NNW when it got to 18 cents, and I'm keeping an eye on it now to see if it gets back into buy territory.

I bought quite a few when it dropped below 8 cents briefly last year. With these kinds of ill-liquid stocks you can get owners sellers near the EOFY, so I'm watching for any weakness in late May and then into June, especially for prices falling below 10 cents.

I have used the funds for a couple of other stocks, one Lithium explorer that is already doing very well since my buy in (BGS), and 2 information technology reverse takeovers (PSF and TND), both very speculative so I've limited my investment to small amounts, and one medical cannabis stock (MXC, which I just sold for a good profit, but should have held for another week at least).

I am looking for a sale, or good news, on another cannabis stock (GLN), and have a bid on another information technology stock which I believe has very great promise.

I also sold my SXY oil and gas for a good 100% profit in 2 months (or so), but it would also be a very good longer term investment for anyone at less than 25 cents (I bought in at 14 cents).

I'm still holding my gold BDR, which is doing well, and my international gold stock (Centamin Egypt) is also doing very well and producing nearly 500k/oz this year and paying dividends in English pounds (so the arbitrage is great for those who bought when the Aussie dollar was strong), and it's still a great buy because the price is being held down dependent on an Egyption court ruling which may occur around 24-27 May. If it goes in Centamin's favour then you should see a 50% increase in their share price within a month, but you need to do your research on this, legal judgements in Egypt are very speculative.

I'm having a good run lately, but that is not always the case.

I'm also closely watching another stablemate of NNW (it shares some directors), from Investorlink, a good tech company out of China that appears to have promise but needs more research.

Just follow the big themes, carefully read and analyse the financial statements, research the director histories, and be patient, and wait for the potential tax loss selling in June from companies you have done your research on and see great potential for. Buy across a spectrum of time frames, some for trading short term, medium term, and a put a couple of good long termers in the SMSF account.

And be aware that in every theme, there are companies that are professional, and those who are opportunists, and those who may be less than savoury. You really must do all the hard yards of research, in order to buy some, and avoid others like the plague.

    The themes as I see them over the next 5 years are;

Gold (and precious metals - may be commencing a new 3 year  bull market ?).

Lithium (approaching a bubble - which all burst in time, so timing is crucial !).

Graphite (plateaued, so there is couple of good opportunities, but the one I like has gone up to much lately, so will watch and wait).

Internet of Things (IoT) - a broad spectrum of funtionality, but there are 6 small caps I've settled on watching.

Medical Cannabis - will bubble and then plateau, so has both short term and longer term potential for the right stocks, once again, timing is critical.

Information Technology Hardware/Software Communications (in specialist areas).

Aged Care (both in Real Estate and Services) - I'm watching 2 of these stocks, one I should have bought into 3 months ago but did not have the capital available.

Asia and Food - particularly seafood and dairy, and maybe cattle. I own MTM which has been listed for 2 or 3 months and is already the subject of a takeover offer, which shows how many international businesses and funds are watching this sector. I'm also watching a dairy stock but have not bought yet. Available funds are always a problem.

Potash - due for a rebound again at some stage in the next year or two, simply because of world population growth and the dwindling quantity of agricultural land.

I may have missed a few things here, but it's late on a Friday night, which shows you the kind of sad life I live. Or maybe I'm just getting old and enjoys doing research. It doesn't really matter.
