GBP has 20% of falklands oil, prospects in malta, $6m in bank but I think the short term driver for the share price is getting some firm news on the timing of the kenya drilling. getting a contracted drill slot will fire GBP up.
Its not often a junior oiler has a shot at a billion barrel target. (and there are two of them). And with WPL on board it is a good sign for the quality of the target......
however drilling is not expected until 3rd or 4th quarter this year.... so patience is required.
this stock has run hard in the past when it got listed on AIM in UK and I would not be surprised to see it fire up again when drilling comes along.
I am a holder at least until drilling happens. It should be a dollar by then.
maybe todays action may be a sign that things are happening with a drill rig.... not huge trading volume.... so a false start would not surprise...
