Looking forward to hearing from Apollo in the coming days and weeks.
FYI below is an email response I received from Company Director/Geological Consultant Nick Castleden. Is Apollo sitting on something big?... Time will tell. Good luck to all holders of AOP.
Jason good to hear from you. Were very pleased with the Rebecca acquisition it is in a good regional setting and one of those projects you occasionally find that has mostly been in the hands of majors (Placer, Aberfoyle & Newcrest) since discovery mid-80s so is not well understood in the industry. Minority equity holder is a private group who picked up the ground on Newcrests departure, they are free-carried to BFS.
The acquisition by AOP was opportunistic at the back of the GFC but the geology (to an exploration guy like me) led the deal. It is a bit unusual but has the hallmarks of a large hydrothermal system exceptionally broad zones of background gold anomalism (in the 0.10-0.20g/t Au range) throughout the area, mostly in unoxidised bedrock containing disseminated sulphides & not in oxidized clay layers (supergene gold) - as is often the case in WA. Previous drilling has located three zones of ore-grade mineralisation (Duke, Redskin and Bombora) associated with increased sulphide content, each of which have been RC drilled on a broad pattern. There are good historical intercepts in the database and unusual multi-element characteristics which we will communicate with the market once we understand their relevance. We are in the process of modeling those zones to plan infill or step-out RC drilling, and using aeromagnetics to identify structural corridors for RAB geochem drilling.
Id be very happy to discuss the project and AOP plans for the area if youd like to give us a call this week on the numbers below,
Regards
