1)How long they were looking at Red Chris and how Red Chris is interested in block cave.
2)The total value of the Red Chris resource is US$1.2 billion [grossed up as I said in my post last night].
3)Newcrest position globally and their reserves globally.
Comment: It is known in the market that majors need to re-stock. As Paradigm in their note made clear, that the two projects ie Timok and Kamoa are now in Chinese hands re: Tier 1.
From a presentation [Chalice], I note that "Tier 1 discoveries of the US$1 billion NPV now represent 2% of all discoveries..."
Hence, not surprising that Newcrest also said that they are interested in x no of Tier 1 and x no of Tier 2 projects per my post last night from Bloomberg.
Solgold*s Alpala - Cascabel is reported to be Tier 1. Solgold is a daughter co of DGR Global.
