I was thinking that surely the majors might want to get their claws in the pie with ownership of some early stage exploration companies in Equador.
I know the majors try to keep away from all this, but the dynamics right now are a little wierd. Macro economy shakey, if your an exec your constrained by the past, think rio or glencore and the bad deals done in the recent past, then lobbing a large takeover bid right now is risky and maybe hard to get past the board.
The big boys are concentrating on getting their ships in order reducing costs etc, and thats all well and good but what about the other macro picture that suggest copper in high demand, asian growth projects, american stimulis etc
Its all building to some bloody good times for copper. But im guessing the big boys will move in on copper and Equador, one way or another. The longer it takes the higher the copper price will go. Check out the new ceo at Rio- JS - copper guy. What does that tell you
Yes DGR wrap up some more ground, some good ground, you have expertise on the ground, you know the ground, you even have your feet on the ground. You got in on the ground etc.
