Yeah Im on the right thread Barrelscraper. I provide enough relevant info regards SOLG/DHR/ANW/IRR to be able to take a little detour with this particular issue. This effects many but basically the industry has not the wherewithal to even gather the data. (Read the info in the link)

    https://www.watoday.com.au/national...cost-of-was-fifo-economy-20171012-gyzp0y.html

My complaint was straightforward i.e - provide people with the ability to better structure their lives. In doing so support employment processes which actually help the industry regulate costs. (If you have to lay off a worker registered on the books you have to pay redundancy etc- a massive cost to an employer). Instead of taking the smart pragmatic proactive, inexpensive and fair option (they can have people on contract for up to 10 years - with no stipulated flexability- outrageous) the likes of RioTinto will wait till the unions get hold of it and the whole industry will suffer as a result, having to pay dissproportiante payouts as needlessly disgruntled employees take them to court.

Basically I have very little power to exact what is a very reasonable outcome in my situation with Rio Tinto despite what I believe to be my sensible arguments.

Despite taking this up with the fairwork ombudsmen (an organisation as toothless as asic and as useless as a banking committee) nothing will be done, in truth is their is more possibilty in getting a positive outcome by posting this here, some bean counter might figure it out.

On a periodic basis I will re-state my desire that if Rio Tinto wants SOLG there is a premium. A premium on the premium.

That is what I desire as a shareholder.

Anyone who is sick of my bleatings, or who simply disagrees with my ramblings put me on ignore.

As a side note I should mention my complaints had no duel objectives. I was not looking to be restated or for any financial renumeration. They pay reasonably well, I actually feel if this was a personal slight I would have walked away and never looked back.
