    @Nitrox
What is new NEWS, can you direct me straight to the point? Question by Nitrox to me.

    Background:

There are many comments on a London forum as to the fact about 17 Holes drilled at Cascabel and therefore, they would like a Maiden Resource asap. So, understandably that folks did not read on HotCopper DGR what Mather himself said in Q & A to iii which I posted.

    So, in the article by Sydney Morning Herald stated: "At s t a k e is a copper gold and zinc deposit that has already been compared to Rio Tinto*s Oyu Tolgoi*s copper mine in Mongolia d e s p i t e having just 17 e x p l o r a t o r y holes drilled into it so far."

Let just say I were to answer the forum question, can I on my own authority using a username on a stock forum say that it "has already been compared to Rio Tinto*s Oyu Tolgoi." If I posted that conclusion or opinion or view especially to allude to Oyu Tolgoi, may be deemed misleading and I dont need to go into the rules of that one.

In the UK, say a small co wants some publicity, they could send their press release to say the Financial Times of London but very rarely will the FT pick the article up unless it has established some creditabilty in the market place. For that reason, the Solg Presentation mentions Newcrest etc with "creditability" but please check for exact words as I do not have the presentation in front of me.

So, if the Sydney Morning Herald, a premier paper in Australia reported it as "BHP has unsuccessfully sought to s p o i l Newcrest Mining bid to take a strategic stake in promising copper and gold junior Solgold in a b a t t l e between 2 of Australia* biggest miners."

As you are aware of the HotCopper posting rules about talking about co*s etc. Does anyone even dare to conjecture that the major*s move was to "spoil" the other major*s bid to take a strategic stake. The word "spoil" may be indicative or not whether they may take up Nicholas Mather offer "to consider" a "takeover bid" from BHP [Ref: "Solgold not ruling out potential takeover by BHP" S & P Global, Market Intelligence. 9 Nov 2016]

One to think about and insightful relating to the BHP investment offer to Solgold on Oct 10, 2016 [Please refer to www.solgold.com.au]

    Market Intelligence

We ordinary shareholders are not prive clients of major brokers in London and therefore we never get to see detailed reports which contain state of market etc. Neither is a Dr whatever Mining Analyst going to be available to speak to.

If one mentions even the Solg RNS of the Oyu Tolgoi to ordinary forum holders they may think that it is rather premature given only 17 holes.

London publications these days do not have such extensive staff to devote to spending time to do a story on Solgold. I am talking of the mainstream papers excluding Financial Times.

Australian publications are more interested and so are Mining publications and it these sources that a lot of information is coming out from. How can it not be? BHP and Newcrest with Solgold, a junior? If you notice, many of Mather comments are coming from these sources and he gives me insight. Again, this has to be c o u n t e r checked by what BHP or perceptions of their move [say from Sydney Morning Herald report] and Newcrest.

Someone said that the Newcrest stake in Solgold was only for investment purposes. That may have been absolutely true as per the accounts at the time. However, Newcrest*s CEO had been asked at their Investors Presentation Day in Sydney on Nov 21, 2016 on the potential of BHP 2nd play and what they had to say [Ref:"Newcrest cool about 2nd play by BHP Billiton."- S & P Global, Market Intelligence.] So out come out something nice for us DGR or Solg shareholders that they will look into it if the time comes [para phrase].

That was new NEWS? Also, in the said article by S & P Global of 9 Nov 2016, Mr Biswas said: "As you know there was a bit of competition around it in the e n d."

What does he mean? One for everyone to decipher.

So, Sir, if we are not millionaire or billionaires, we cannot consult a team of researchers of Head of Mining at a premier broker in London. We depend on the premier newspapers and Mining publications to obtain more information so that we can build the picture up relating to what is going to happen or not happen.

I cannot stick my neck out. I read the rules of one London forum and I recall that the hint is that if they are taken to litigation, then they may recover loss.

Hence, I do not put figures, buy or sell, hold etc on any stock. I do NOT generate statements on my own account. I draw from a source ie publication. If I have the time, I will try to get 2 or even 3 other sources. It takes time to get these. Hence, whey they are old ie in mid Oct 2016. I dont have time to spend pouring deeply. I can only do it on off-time.

So, what is it all for. It is to gather a total picture for oneself. That was one knows what BHP or Newcrest or Solg is at given the different stages.

Then one analyses, evaluates and draw some critical paths.

This is all norm in offices.

I hope this clarifies for the avoidance of doubt.

    Thank you Sir.
