I think the fund managers a pretty good. If you are looking at small-mid caps then these guys have performed pretty well over a long time period. They recently hired a media oriented manager who seems to be raising the profile of Contango nicely. I think it will push the NTA discount into a premium over a short period which is good for CTN shareholders like me.

We were just discussing some corporate activity that shareholders in CTN missed out on but the managers cleaned up because they sold themselves a CTN asset. Nobody knew at the time that the market would rate it so highly but as fund managers they should have had a fair idea. There are more blatant things other LIC managers do that annoy me more, like issuing shares to 'sophisticated' investors at a discount to NTA.
