Although I'm new to this site I'm fascinated by the campaign that has been run by the poster yellowcake against the AWB and in favour of the selfish policy of destroying the single desk in favour of individual marketing instead of the collective good.

The arguement reminds me of a young know it all farmer here in WA named Aaron Edmonds who submitted a paper to the Federal Wheat marketing enquiry two years ago in favour of him being allowed to persue his own interests being a more important priority than the proven success of the National Pool system and the greater good of ALL national wheat growers - and then he refused to present the paper himself claiming that he might be at risk of physical harm if he did so - like anyone gave a toss - selfish 'me' individualists are a dime a dozen.

What is ironic is that this same individual had been sponcered by the Australian Wheat Board to undertake a well recognised rural scholarship - then he turns around and shafts the sponsor!!

You have got to hand it to the AWB, not only have they got the short end of the stick businesswise but even the grants they give end up going to complete selfish tossers.

    But how the worm turns.

The Aust Financial Review reports that having been given the chance to prove the Wheat Board was hopeless, the CBH and its associated infrastructure looks like losing vital international wheat contracts to major overseas competitors becuase the WA system on its own doesn't have the logistical capacity to provide reliable and consistent supply of wheat.

    What a surprise!

And as such, the selfish and niave fantasies of a few individuals place the supply reputation of the entire Australian industry in jepardy.

But I guess growers such as Aaron Edmonds and yellowcake saw that coming with their depth of 'expertise'?

Maybe that National supply capability including the Eastern seaboard ports that allowed guarenteed relaible supply (and the resulting 'allegedly' lower average price had benefits they never knew about?

Bugger the cost when you know it all hey?

FIG JAM marketers. F..K I'm GOOD, Just Ask Me!!
