Technically, they are worth zilch imo. My calculations show that they are being ripped off severely on cost, paying over 4 times per kilometre as other projects in Australia. On the same comparison, the project is 75% more expensive than the chunnel. Do I hear calls of "BS!"? It's true! Check it out.
If the project had been built for a fair price, the unit holders would carry no debt on completion, and would probably make a modest return. But highly leveraged and totally ripped off, I think it highly likely that the project will collapse in a debt black hole. Maccas can then buy it for about $700 million, which is my estimation of Airport Link's commercial worth.
