A few minutes ago my daughter aged 20 walked in the door. She has spent the last 10 day in Myanmar (the old Burma) helping in orphanages. She spent her own money to get there, and her own holidays..
She explained 1 place she visited put on a very nice spread of food.. after they had eaten etc, and before they left , my daughter and a couple friends felt to give the place some $$ ... They were told as they left the money will buy food for the place for over a month.... Then someone confided that the meal they had, was the last of the food.
It gives me goosebumps , I am proud that some young people still think outside their own worlds and are willing to give of themselves and $$ to be a blessing to others in the world we live in.
