Just wondering what people thought of the taste of the different brands of smoked salmon available.
Not really a fan of the stuff from Norway that is in the major supermarkets and Aldi, find it a bit salty and that the fish disintegrates.
Huon usually has 1 product in a sea of tassal product at the major supermarkets but i find the flesh a bit firmer in texture out of the ones available. Not really that easy to use in salads as it doesn't really flake up very easily but I prefer the firmer texture.
Tassal from what I have seen usually has about 80-90% of the shelf space, in superior gold or blue tassal form, I can't really taste much difference between them, I'm not sure if they are supposed to have a different recipe or not but it's a decent product.
