I don't think the PNG Government would have much confidence in BCL. Even IF SMLOLA changed their minds (which they won't) the PNG Government would have to stump a lot of $$ for the project to proceed. Why wouldn't they take the better option that has the experience, capital and know how?
If all the senior people at BCL left - you would be dreaming if they had the capacity to take on this project.
