The story is very much a spiel on the back of the sensational gold grades found in one part of the Fosterville deposit. This mine has run for years (decades?) on moderate grades, but now the Swan Zone has turned it into one of the most profitable gold mines in the world.
There is always the chance that holders in small caps can talk the stock up to increase the price they sell at. The antidote to this is DYOR!
A company can truely believe they have a great story and need to get it out there to improve their SP. (I would say this is mostly true for NML). Or they are placing an excessively positive spin on things to ramp the SP. There is a continuum between these extremes but I say NML are at the sensible good story to tell end.
