I think a nuclear war is highly improbable. Bad for business. If a real possibility, the Japanese & South Korean stock markets would not be so buoyant !
Kim Il Sung is as crazy as a fox (and merely the chairman of the board of a mafia organisation, like some large Wall St firms .... you fill in the blanks) and The Donald is a rodeo clown, whose job is to distract while the Goldmanites, billionaires and other 'deep state' operatives he's empowered get on with running the world as they always have. The IOUSA has over 900 bases in 130 countries, spends more on defense than the rest of the world put together, and yet cant afford to rescue Houston let alone Costa Rica ... LOL .... or could it be that this would be seen as bad precedent ... George W, all's forgiven ...the more things change ...
I doubt that Ord's did that, but I will inquire if they "crossed any stock" - broker speak for bloodsucking their clients. In this day&age of computer-driven trading, one cant rely on market depth or technical analysis.
Perhaps the most reliable tactic is to remember that "the trend is your friend" ... till its not. See my post on Hedges & Shorts.
PS I also think that gold is not going up much, as the TPTB will always find a way to kneecap it, but equally the US$ won't rise much more because meaningfully sustained interest rate rises would bring the whole overindebted house of cards tumbling down. So, we can look forward to a protracted period of stagflation.
Also, China is positioning its currency to be used in commodity trading, especially oil, which they are now the largest importer, and they intend to back their currency and trade deficits with gold. It goes without saying they want a 'Goldilocks' gold price - not too high, not too low.
