Sydney - Tuesday - August 27: (RWE) - Skilled Engineering Ltd
today announced a net profit of $10.26 million in the 12 months to June
30, compared with a $1.59 million net loss for the previous year.
Revenues were up 5 per cent to $581.19 million from $553.7
million.
Operating profit was $14.77 million against a $1.45 million
loss.
Basic earnings per share were 12.14c, versus a 2.05c loss.
Final dividend is 6c, fully franked, payable on October 22 to
shareholders registered September 29.
Total payout for the year is 10c, compared with nil last year.
The dividend reinvestment plan will operate for this dividend
with a discount rate of 2.5 per cent.
Directors reported trading for the fourth quarter continued the
trend of strong sales and profit growth.
Sales for the three months ended June 30 rose 8.3 per cent to
$151 million from $139 million.
Earnings before interest and tax for the fourth quarter were $5
million and EBIT margin was 3.3 per cent.
"The general economic environment, from our perspective,
continues to be strong and we see no evidence at this of a slowdown,
although we are conscious that such changes can occur very quickly.
"The strong sales and profit performance, strengthened
management team and margin improvement strategy, together with our
continuing optimism about the company's future prospects, give us
confidence in being able to further expand and profitably grow the
business," the directors said.
Skilled Engineering fell 1c to $1.48.
