Spot on pustayo. It's really a fascinating site. I think as the earth warms more and more of these sites will become accessible for study both in the north and south. Interesting times we are living through.
The Skaergaard intrusion itself is pretty expansive though so I would hope that it would be possible to mine the parts we want without destroying the whole site but who knows.
We certainly are incapable of doing skaergaard ourselves, that's for sure. it's really a shame Friedland isn't interested. For a paltry $20m he could expand Syerston and take control of the one of the largest un mined PGM deposits in the world. seems like pocket change when he need $1.3bn for his capex. He surely must know what his microcap NSW neighbour has hidden under the ice, right?
