Yellow cake, I have a vested interst in the share price of AWB appreciating, so what I say is no doubt biased. I have a supposition, that the temtation you had to realise the profit on your AWB short is your inner trader telling you AWB will bounce tomorrow or the next day. The fear and panic reached a cresendo yesterday amid the debate of the returning parliament and newspaper reports citing JP Morgans $2.14 'worst case' scenario. Shares that undergo panic selling all have a reactionary bounce. There is a fair chance that will happen tomorrow judging by the afternoon close. But if you're relying on removal of 'the single desk' to deliver short position profits, you'll need a little patience because that risk is factored in. Without more 'revelations of fact' I feel the path of least resistance is up, for tommorow atleast.

To put things another way, when Alan Koller tells the nation on ABC news that the price is going sub $4 , its inevitable the contrarians will conspire gains him.
