silence is golden, page-2

LML has mainly been an iron ore play (a few others odds and sods). Now graphite is the next big thing and because of (a) proximity and (b) some mining in the past, it has meant that a few more people have looked at LML.

It is thinly traded and tightly held. 50% of shares are held by the top ten SHs. Volumes are super thin and even on very low volume days - including today and yesterday - the SP can fluctuate 15-20%. I think the term is 'illiquid'!

The iron ore side of things is a long term play. The graphite is highly speculative and pretty new for LML. I support the new interest in graphite, despite the fact that it's not why I bought in the first place (several years ago).

It's silent as the crypt most days on the LML thread but in a way I don't mind that. Compare it to PEN or AVB, noth of which I hold, where there is incessant chatter, much of it meaningless. There have been a couple of great posters like Hera who pop by from time to time and make worthwhile posts.

I'll be hanging on to my shares but the small SP increase is, I think, because the graphite was a bit of a fluke rather than the core business. That said, it could be a lucrative fluke. Either way, I'm hoping that the IO side gets up and running too.
