Not the same situation indeed, but no lesson be learned I disagree.
SBM was a company for a period producing uneconomically due to short term solvable issue.
A40 is currently a company producing uneconomically due to short term solvable issue.
I think there is a big lesson to be learned and that lesson is sometimes you need to look at whats coming and not worry about temporary situations that will not be an issue in 6 months.
If you look at people panic selling back then on SBM yes it was pure panic pretty much same as we are experiencing right now.
Difference for SBM between back then and today is they got dirt moving produced their ounces and halved their cost in doing so.
A40 what are they doing right now, moving dirt producing our product, by years end we will be at a 240ktpa run rate and producing a hell of alot more tonnage than today and costs will be half and we will have moved into the sunshine.
To me that's comparable lesson look ahead don't forget betting on success is also still an option.
