not always accurate. have seen cap raises on low market cap stocks that increase the s/p despite being at or below market price. increases retail confidence. See cobalt blue. cap raise occured at 30c when the S/p waS at 36 or SomethIng. it then went on a run to well over a dollar.

a cap raise in a downtrend tends to actually set the bottom for a re-rate. as opposed to a cap raise in a bull run where it stems the run of the stock.

IMO cap raise wIll occur after an annoucement of prelIm drill results.
