Problem with averaging down is that yes you can lower your average price but you will have a very large parcel of shares to dispose of - in a stock with low liquidity.
I am down heaps on this stock too - have held and traded since 2010 and have just written it off - if it recovers great but it's history for me. I recently sold some to offset a gain somewhere else.
