shorts very low - zinc stocks lower...

Headline Zinc - 784,875

Backorder - 79,925 (has been hovering around this 10% level for 3 months, which shows demand holding up as stocks fall)

Available - 704,950 (almost under 700,00)

Below is also some short sales data I recorded and followed during recent market volatility. It appears that short sales volume has fallen to very low levels constituting a move north soon but can also coversely be construed as 'an opportunity to short'. I'll take the neutral stance pending more details about Lounge Lizard. It seems that shorts have taken the same view.
