Checked the Bloomberg terminal at work today and see current short interest is 10% of float. Also seem to be lots of news reports from BFW showing the most shorted stocks on the ASX, and Cardno keeps appearing on them over the last week. Unfortunately though I don't exactly understand the report as it is oddly worded.
Also my bro works for CDD (which is how it's drop was called to my attention), so i've asked him to check for any gossip in the office about why the CEO left. He is a way down the ladder though so not sure how much would trickle down that grapevine. Will let yous know if i hear anything.
